Your JCC acceptance email contains your JCC username, JCC Student ID #, and JCC email address. Store this information in a secure location that you can easily reference, especially your JCC Student ID number.
Access PortalGuard and set your password.
Using the How-To Guide, set your password in PortalGuard. PortalGuard houses the single password for all of your JCC logins:
Self-Service: Central hub for most student administrative functions. Through it, you will be able to access payment information, view unofficial transcripts, and view your class schedule.
Office 365: Home to your JCC Student Outlook email account. Access to additional Microsoft Office Suite services is provided here as well (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Blackboard: Provides access to all your enrolled course content (i.e. syllabi, assignments). You will not see your classes until the first day of class for any given semester.
Only accepted CCP students can meet with an academic advisor to determine which classes are required for their approved pathway and to pre-register for their first semester in the program.
Get your Student Photo ID & Parking Permit.
Visit the Student Success Center. Make sure to bring a valid government ID and your vehicle information (license plate #, your car's make and model).
Acquire your required course materials (i.e. textbooks).
Johnston County Public School (JCPS) Students ONLY: Specific information will be provided by your CCP Representative in your high school CCP Google Classroom.
Non-JCPS Students ONLY (Charter, Home, Private, Outside of Johnston Co.): Visit the bookstore online or on campus (Wilson Building). A student's high school or another local organization may cover these costs; however, students must check with those entities to determine available resources and policies.
Pay account balances on time.
View payment deadlines on the CCP Calendar and review/pay account balances in Self-Service. Contact the Business Office with questions. Outstanding balances may result in being deregistered from courses.
Required course materials and student fees (i.e. activity, technology, universal learning, CAPS) are the student's responsibility. However, there may be local provisions for such costs. A student's high school, school district, or another local organization may cover these costs. Students should check with their principal, administrator, or counselor for any information and to verify how any of those costs are paid if applicable. Johnston County Public School students check with your CCP Representative.
Submit a FERPA Form
